The David Packard Excellence in Acquisition Award was established to recognize Department of Defense (DOD) civilian and/or military organizations, groups, or teams, whose significant contributions demonstrate exemplary innovation and best acquisition practices. Multiple awards are presented, recognizing achievements that exemplify the goals and objectives established for furthering life cycle cost reduction and acquisition excellence in DOD.
The U.S. Army Acquisition Support Center (USAASC) is the official collection point for Army nominations. USAASC will compile the nominations and submit them to senior leadership, who will then submit the strongest applications to USD(AT&L) for consideration. The deadline for submitting nominations is May 31, 2016, and an official call for nominations will be issued through each organization’s award POC. Please see the award instructions for more information on the eligibility and nomination criteria for the David Packard Excellence in Acquisition Award.
