To provide superior career development and career management assistance in total support of our ultimate customer, the warfighter, by enhancing the quality of the acquisition workforce, both by attracting new, qualified personnel and improving the training and motivation of current personnel.
Regional Directors and Acquisition Career Managers
Each of the three Regions is staffed with a Regional Director to oversee acquisition career development needs of the Region's AL&T Workforce and to establish programs necessary to meet those needs. Each Region is comprised of satellite offices located in various high density locations throughout the country, called Regional Customer Support Offices (RCSO). Each RCSO employs Acquisition Career Managers (ACMs) and Career Management Support Specialists (CMSSs) who support the AL&T Workforce.
- In accordance with dictates of the Defense Acquisition Workforce
Improvement Act (DAWIA), develop, implement and execute Acquisition
Workforce policy and procedures.
- Responsible for acquisition career development and management,
ensuring the Army Acquisition, Logistics & Technology (AL&T) Workforce
receive consistent, timely information on acquisition programs,
education, training, and competitive opportunities generated as
a result of the AAC DDACM programs.
- Ensure consistency between DAWlA and Army Objective policies
and programs as they pertain to the management of the military
and civilian Acquisition Corps and workforce requirements for
the Acquisition Workforce. Increase awareness and participation
of the senior leadership in acquisition career management initiatives.
- The ACMs/CMSSs are aligned with AL&T Workforce members, based on the permanent residence location of the workforce member.
