The Contracting Officer Representative (COR) Course provides the student with an overall view of the contracting process, to include contract administration, statutory laws and regulations that govern the contracting process. This course will provide the student with an overview of the acquisition process, teaming, ethics and integrity, authorities, contract classification, contract types, proper file documentation, performance assessment methods, remedies for poor performance, invoice requirements, contract modifications, and contract management. Course focus is on contracting means in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (DFAR). Other topics taught include Pre-award/Post -award Planning Process, Monitoring the Contract, Changes and Modifications, Inspection and Acceptance, Delays and Claims, Terminations, Past Performance and Payments and Closeout.
COR Train-the-Trainer course is designed specifically for functional area 51C Soldiers. It introduce new and experienced trainers a fresh method for creating and managing their COR training program, which will truly engage their learners. NCOs that attend train-the-trainer course can learn how to reduce course preparation time, accelerate their own knowledge, and discover new ways to demonstrate mission focus attributes. Soldiers operating as a Contingency Contracting Officer (CCO), will have new methodologies and discover how adults learn. Most of all, Soldiers will take away viable tools of improving their own practical skills, which are necessary to lead a successful mission in theater and in garrison environment. COR Train-the-Trainer course is designed to integrate a Soldier’s current skills, by continuing to develop their craft as a Procurement NCO, given both new and experienced trainers, a renewed sense of confidence in their presentation skills, and a greater appreciation for their career.

This course is NOT releasable to students from foreign countries.
Must be SSG (P) and SFC
Meet the requirements outlined in Chapter 4, AR 614-200, AR 350-1, AR 351-4, AR 600-9, and DA PAM 611-21.
Meet the physical fitness standards, the weight standards, and be physically qualified or meet the physical qualifications with a waiver according to AR 40-501.
