(May 19, 2014) — Thirteen members of the 2011 Competitive Development Group/Army Acquisition Fellowship (CDG/AAF) were recognized at a graduation ceremony at Defense Acquisition University here hosted by the Army Director, Acquisition Career Management (DACM), Lt. Gen. Michael E. Williamson. “What an amazing success,” said Williamson. “The reason you were identified [for this program] is your ability to learn and grow. Take the experience you’ve had here back with you and find opportunities for others to become the next set of leaders,” he added. USAASC announces April MOS 51C reclassification board results

(May 12, 2014) – Fourteen candidates were selected for reclassification as a result of the 51C Noncommissioned Officer (NCO) reclassification board held here April 22-23, 2014. The last board of the fiscal year was convened by the U.S. Army Acquisition Support Center (USAASC) and administered by the 51C Proponent Office. “We had a record number of applications this year resulting in one of our most competitive boards yet,” said Master Sgt. Eric Sears, chief 51C proponent NCO. “Out of 197 applicants, fourteen were selected meeting our end-strength goals for the fiscal year,” he added. As a result, the July board has been cancelled. Williamson became the principal military deputy to the assistant secretary of the Army for acquisition, logistics and technology (ASA(ALT)) and the director, acquisition career management on April 4, 2014 during his promotion ceremony.
