USAASC Remembers a Beloved Friend and Colleague

U.S. Army Acquisition Support Center’s (USAASC’s) Robert Neff passed away on Monday, June 27, 2011, due to kidney and liver failure. He was admitted to Georgetown University Hospital’s emergency room for treatment Monday afternoon and died overnight.
Robert worked with Headquarters, USAASC for almost 20 years. He served in the U.S. Army for 30 years, including several tours in Vietnam. In 1991, he was assigned to USAASC as a CW4. Upon retiring from military service, he joined USAASC as a civilian human resources (military) specialist, later becoming an HR (military) supervisor. Robert held a key role in establishing military policy within the acquisition field.
Robert was a beloved friend and colleague. He was a dedicated employee and truly regarded USAASC as his second home. His shining personality stood out among the USAASC community. The USAASC family wishes to express our condolences to Robert’s family for their loss.
