Prerequisites
Active, Reserve and Guard Officers: Commission officers (03 – 04) must have been accessed into Functional Area 51, completed all current DAWIA level 1 contracting certification standards.
Civilians:
Must be GS-9-11 and level 1 certified in contracting and be assigned to a Career Program 14 position.
Active, Reserve and Guard Non-Commissioned Officers:
Non-Commissioned officers must have a 51C MOS, completed all current DAWIA level 1 contracting functional training requirements, have an associate’s degree OR 60 semester credit hours (with a minimum of 24 semester hours in accounting, law, business, finance, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, or organization management), and have a minimum of two years of operational contracting experience.
MOS 51C noncommissioned officers are encouraged to review the “Department of the Army Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO) Career Management Field (CMF) Certification and Acquisition Corps Membership Policy and Procedures” document for current information regarding MOS 51C NCO accreditation and certification requirements. Security Clearance Requirement: Secret.
