RAMPING UP IN AFGHANISTAN
During the fast-paced buildup in Afghanistan, the Army moved a vast amount of supplies and Soldiers into theater. Now it must decide how to manage the eventual removal of that equipment to “right-size” the supply chain. Here, SGT Terrance Lee, then a 143rd Expeditionary Sustainment Command Supply Specialist, moves crates to help Soldiers construct a new work facility at Kandahar Airfield, Afghanistan, in May 2009.
