Each Army Acquisition Functional Leader (AAFL) is responsible for approving the nomination of Army Acquisition Functional Representatives (AFRs) to support their Acquisition Functional Area (AFA). The AFRs are senior level Army Acquisition Workforce (AAW) professionals who have considerable training, experience, and expertise within their assigned AFA. They are responsible for providing appeal approval/disapproval of any certification or fulfillment requests that have been referred to them by a Certifying Officer.
