Paragraph 4 of Enclosure 2 of the DAU Training policy provides details about how student priority is determined (https://asc.army.mil/web/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/DAU-Training-Policy.pdf).
Priority 1 – Army Acquisition Workforce (AAW) professionals who need the class for certification in their primary Functional Area level assigned to their current position.
Priority 2 – AAW professionals who need the class for their primary Functional Area but the class is for a certification level above their current position’s Acquisition Certification Level (ACL).
Priority 3 – AAW professionals who are requesting a course that is not in their primary Functional Area.
Priority 4 – AAW professionals who have completed the class, an approved predecessor, and/or are certified at the highest level in the functional area.
Priority 5 – Non-AAW professionals
The Army Acquisition Training Office reviews all AITAS requests against data in CAPPMIS to verify student priority and will manually adjust the priority level, when applicable, when they process the application.
