Army Assignment Officers at the Human Resources Command (HRC), Acquisition Management Branch (AMB), serve as career managers for Army Acquisition Corps (AAC) officers, advising and placing them into acquisition positions to support the Army’s acquisition mission. They coordinate and run the selection boards for acquisition programs like the Voluntary Transfer Incentive Program (VTIP), Advanced Civil Schooling (ACS), Training with Industry (TWI), and coordinate Centralized Selection List (CSL) slating. They also coach and advise officers on their career paths, ensuring the right officers are in the right roles at the right time.
