What is the Army Acquisition Executive?

The Army Acquisition Executive (AAE) is the Army’s senior official responsible for overseeing and managing all acquisition functions and activities, including policy development, budget control, risk management and program success. The AAE also serves as the Assistant Secretary of the Army (Acquisition, Logistics and Technology), as designated by the Secretary of the Army.
