    Contributor submissions are accepted on a rolling basis.

    Who can write for USAASC?

    Anyone in the Army Acquisition Workforce and its stakeholders. Writers from all skill levels, including no skill. Our editors are that good.

    What can be submitted?

  • Articles (new/original work or to amplify already published works from your organization)
  • Images (photos, graphics with captions etc.)
  • Faces of the Force (nominate someone in your organization to be featured)
  • Social Media post share requests (submit under amplification)
  • Articles

    Read the writer’s guidelines before submission. Use the ASA(ALT), Secretary of the Army and Secretary of Defense’s main priorities to guide the subjects of your articles.

    • All original and amplification request articles must be formatted into a Word (docx) document, 12-point font, Times New Roman, double-spaced.
    • On average, 800-1,600 words in length.
    • Submit images as separate, high-resolution files (min 1mb).
    • Ensure the file name matches the article name.
    • Must have obtained OPSEC review and Functional Lead approval.

      Photos, graphics and figures

      • Upload original, high-resolution files in .jpg, .jpeg or .png format, minimum size of 1mb per file. Graphics and charts may be submitted in illustrator or pdf files. If you need assistance recreating a chart or contact us or make a note in the submission form.
      • Captions: Paste captions in the submissions page form or submit a separate captions Word document with the same title as the article: ARTICLENAME_CAPTIONS.docx
      • Caption details: Include who, what, where and when with the photographer’s or artist’s full name and organization: (Photo/Illustration by Name, Organization).

      Faces of the Force

      To feature an individual from your organization, have the military or civilian acquisition workforce member complete the nomination form questionnaire.
      Then, submit the FOTF form. USAASC’s edit team will reach out to confirm information and profile article publishing date.

      Social Media

      To submit a request to share a post or previously published article on USAASC’s online channels, select the Amplification option.
