It is important to note that the “serially managed” designa- tion does not mean that any item that has a serial number needs to be tracked.
“Serially managed” refers to items desig- nated by DOD to be uniquely tracked, controlled, or managed in maintenance, repair, and/or supply systems by means of its serial number.
CONCLUSION While ACC is well on its way to address- ing many of the issues critical to getting a grip on GFP, many challenges remain, which the ACC is working to resolve. Tey include:
