PAID ACQUISITION INTERNSHIPS FOR COLLEGE STUDENTS!
The Undersecretary of Defense for Acquisition and Sustainment’s Human Capital Initiatives Office will accept applications starting Sept. 14 for the DOD College Acquisition Internship Program (DCAIP). DCAIP is a paid, 10-week internship that exposes students to DOD acquisition culture and provides them with real-world experience in various acquisition functional areas. The program targets full-time second- and third-year students currently enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited college or university. Selected students will work full time (40 hours per week) over 10 weeks, between May and August 2022. There also may be opportunities to work over winter break and to return during the summer of 2023, determined by DOD component need, continued eligibility and student availability.
Applicants are encouraged to apply early, as the window for applications closes Oct. 12 or sooner, if the maximum number of applications for a particular location is reached. SENIOR RATER POTENTIAL EVALUATION (SRPE)
As a civilian Army Acquisition Workforce (AAW) member, Rater, or Senior Rater of an AAW member, you must ensure a Senior Rater Potential Evaluation (SRPE) is completed. To prepare for the upcoming SRPE Release on Oct.1 the Army Director of Acquisition Career Management (DACM) Office reminds civilian AAW professionals that the SRPE is a talent management tool used to evaluate the potential of every civilian acquisition professional (at the GS-12 through GS-15 or broadband equivalent level). The intent is to evaluate their potential for positions of greater responsibility and centrally selected professional development opportunities. Army DACM policy requires an annual SRPE. The DACM Office will provide specific instructions regarding your role in the SPRE process via a separate email blast on or about Oct.1, which is when the annual window for SRPE completion opens. Senior Raters must complete the SRPE for fiscal year 2021 in CAPPMIS no later than Dec. 31. MANDATORY ANNUAL ETHICS TRAINING REMINDER
As members of the AAW, the standards of expertise, experience and ethics are high. We are required by law to be certified at the appropriate level for our acquisition positions, and we are mandated to maintain currency in our acquisition career fields with continuous learning. Mandatory ethics training instills the importance of conducting ourselves in an ethical manner. The Army DACM Office reminds you of the following mandatory requirements:
By Sept. 30, complete the annual ethics training requirement in one of the following methods listed below. The list of accepted ethics training modalities that meet the annual requirement has been expanded to include:

STAYING SECURE – SWITCH IN CAMP/CAPPMIS LOGIN CERTIFICATE
Because the Enterprise Access Management Service – Army (EAMS-A) is migrating to the Army Master Identity Directory (AMID) and moving away from Army Knowledge Online, end users of the Career Acquisition Management Portal (CAMP) will now select a different authentication certificate on their Common Access Card (CAC) to log in and access the associated applications.
- Effective Aug. 26, all users will need to select the “Authentication/PIV certificate” instead of their “Signature” certificate in order to process successfully through EAMS-A.
A new, intermediary screen will appear, alerting CAMP users of the change to include instructions on CAC Authentication Changes. Once your CAC is authenticated, you will be navigated back to the main CAMP home page for login.
