Yes, the certification standards can change. For the current certification requirements, see the DAU iCatalog at http://icatalog.dau.edu/. The DAU iCatalog is the official source of standards and is updated as needed. The DACM Office strongly recommends that you apply for certification as soon as you meet all the training, education, and experience standards in your primary Acquisition Functional Area (AFA). If you earn certification in an AFA and then the certification standards change, you will still keep your certification in this AFA. However, if you do not apply and the standards change for a particular AFA, then you must meet the new requirements that are in place at the time of request in order to obtain certification.
