Develops and executes leader development policies, procedures, and doctrine in support of the 32,000-strong Army Acquisition Workforce (~2,000 military and 30,000 civilian). Creates and manages career development opportunities for officers and NCOs, including programs like Training with Industry (TWI) and Advanced Civil Schooling (ACS). Supports the Army’s acquisition mission through the eight personnel development system lifecycle functions (acquisition, structure, distribution, development, deployment, compensation, sustainment, and transition). Responsible for developing, drafting, and reviewing acquisition policies and procedures on career development, DAWIA certification, training, education, and force structure (MAPL and CSL). Coordinates with DoD, Army, and Joint Staff strategic partners. Advises the Principal Military Deputy to the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Acquisition, Logistics and Technology (ASA(ALT))/Director, Army Acquisition Corps (DAAC) and provides strategic and operational recommendations to the Army Acquisition Executive.
