FORT BELVOIR, Va. (Feb. 5, 2018)—Thirteen candidates from the Army Acquisition Corps (AAC) were selected as the Army’s next product and project directors from the FY 2018 centralized selection boards held Oct. 30 – Nov. 3 at Fort Knox, Kentucky.
The civilian-only, centrally selected product and project director board is a high-priority talent management initiative for Lt. Gen. Paul Ostrowski, the principal military deputy to the Army acquisition executive and the director of the AAC.
Its purpose is to identify high-performing civilians with the leadership potential required to fill civilian product and project director positions commensurate with their military counterparts to ensure the Army acquisition community provides Soldiers the tools they need to deploy, fight and win across the entire spectrum of conflict now and in the future.
The standard tenure for these acquisition product and project directors is three years. The Army Director for Acquisition Career Management Office, in coordination with the program executive offices (PEOs), will centrally manage the positions.
