NPS acquisition research symposium wants your ideas

FORT BELVOIR, Va.—Do you or your organization have recently completed or ongoing research projects that DOD and the defense acquisition community at large need to know about?

Consider presenting a paper or a panel at the 16th Annual Acquisition Research Symposium, to be held May 8–9 at the Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) in Monterey, California. The symposium is sponsored by the NPS Graduate School of Business and Public Policy.

The Symposium Program Committee is looking for proposals for papers or panels from academicians, practitioners and others with interests in the study of public procurement policy and management. Among the topics of interest are:

  • Financial management.
  • Information systems.
  • Organization theory.
  • Operations management.
  • Human resources management.
  • Risk management.
  • Small business issues.
  • Program and project management.
  • Test and evaluation.
  • Systems engineering management.

Proposals for papers (plan for a 20-minute presentation) and panels (plan for 90-minute duration, with no more than five people) are due no later than Dec. 5. The final papers must be submitted no later than April 4.

Submit proposals for papers or panels at https://www.researchsymposium.com. Notifications of acceptance will be sent by Dec. 28.
