DAWIA certification achievements will remain in individual’s records beyond the transition to the Back-to-Basics (BtB) framework for DAWIA certification. Determinations on position coding are handled on a case-by-case basis at the local level and determined by the supervisor, local HR specialist and classifier. These personnel may or may not remain in an Acquisition Workforce coded billet and would not require certification if the acquisition coding is removed. Under the new framework personnel that do not fall under the 6 Functional Areas may have potential to obtain credentials based on supervisor recommendations for specialty functions.
