The goals of the MOD requirements generation process are an executable budget to sustain the Afghan National Army and an unfunded requirements list for reprogramming. The requirements process begins by considering the governing strategic documents and considering what they dictate for the future. LTC(P) BRITTIAN A. WALKER is chief of the Program and Analysis Division in the CSTC-A CJ-8. He holds an MBA in logistics management
from the University of Tennessee and
a B.S. in criminology from Florida State University. He is a graduate of the Army’s Intermediate Level Education Course, the Operations Research/Systems Analysis Military Applications Course, Operations Research/Systems Analysis Qualification Course and the Joint Professional Military Education Program. He is an alumnus of the RAND Arroyo Center Army Fellows Program.
MR. MICHAEL MASON is assigned to the Ministry of Defense Advisers Program supporting the Resolute Support Train, Advise and Assist Mission in Kabul, Afghanistan. A 20-year Marine Corps officer, he holds a master’s degree in systems management from Capital College and a BBA from National University. He attended and instructed at the Marine Corps Command and Control Systems School and the Marine Corps Command and Staff College, and attended the Armed Forces Staff College.
