Te AcqBusiness infrastructure effort is a natural progression of the consolidation task successfully executed


over the


past three years to incorporate reduced software and hardware footprints while virtualizing servers.


By leveraging virtualization, AcqBusi- ness has been able to lay the foundation for cloudlike capabilities, such as infra- structure-as-a-service (IaaS) and shared resource pools,


to flourish. IaaS has


resulted in greater awareness and cross- team collaboration with respect to the available shared pool of hardware and software resources.


By emphazing a shared resource pool, AcqBusiness is better able to optimize hardware and software assets

maintenance and license renewals, which in turn is expected to result in lower life- cycle costs.

MR. KEN WALDROP is the project execution chief in the Program Manage- ment Directorate of PM AcqBusiness. He holds a B.B.A. in accounting from


Georgia State University and an M.S. in management from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Waldrop is Level III certified in program management.


MS.CARLA D. FAISON provides contract support for the Fresnel Co. as the strategic communications lead for AcqBusiness. She holds a B.A. in radio, television and film production with a minor in advertising and public relations from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Faison holds a professional certificate from George Wash- ington University in 3-D animation and digital television.


MS. SONYA RAHMANI of Booz Allen Hamilton Inc. is an agile scrum master for the AAWF Dashboard, PM AcqBusiness. She holds a B.S. in electrical engineering from George Mason University and an M.S. in systems engineering from Virginia Tech.


MR. GEORGE MORGAN provides contract support for Booz Allen Hamilton Inc. as lead infrastructure engineer for PM AcqBusiness. He holds a B.B.A. in management information systems and an M.S.I.S. in information systems development from the George Washington University. His current focus is leveraging his knowledge of Linux and Unix engineering to help address infrastructure consolidation challenges at PM AcqBusiness.


MR. SHAWN M. FAUNCE of Booz Allen Hamilton Inc. is the agile lead for PM AcqBusiness. He holds a B.S. in engineering physics from the United States Military Academy at West Point and an M.S. in computer science from George Mason University.
